WATERLOGGED

Subject is a member of the phocidea family, genus halichoerus grypus. Size is indeterminate and difficult to gauge. Distinctive silver coloration. Look at the luster on that. There’s something peculiar about the pelvis. Broken in. A defect among my regrettably limited sample size.

Dragged from the water and stripped of her sealskin, a fantastical water creature is taken from the sea and into the human world. Magically bound to her captor, she must recover her sealskin and return home to the waves.

Waterlogged had a staged reading at Florida Gulf Coast University.

STORM IN A TEACUP

Prophecy, schomophecy; not liable for ramifications and ruinations, beheadings and betrayal - come on get to the good bit - The Witches Of The Wastelands seeking Chosen One, Great Witches Only Need Apply Themselves. All applicants must be classically trained, well-versed in curses, etc. etc.

Storm in a Teacup follows young witch Otterly Tadpole as she leaves her childhood lily pad in West Pondlings for an apprenticeship in the Wastelands. Under the wary eyes of her mentors, she trips hat first into chaos and confusion struggling to master her magic and herself. Soaked in whimsy and wonder, this fantasy piece is a story of self-compassion and coming of age at any age.

Storm in a Teacup had a staged reading at the Center for the Performing Arts in Bonita Springs and a virtual production at the Laboratory Theatre of Florida.
